Ton of DucksOne Ton of Ducks is a crafty original rock band playing "front room concert" style singer/songwriter rock, occasionally tinged with jazz and a taste of alt-country. Songwriters all, the band performs 95% original music. Mark Dodge sings and plays lead guitar and keys; Roger Ludwick sings and plays guitar & keys; Wende Hilyard sings and plays percussion & more keys; Patrick Donicht plays bass & percussion and no keys at all; and Thomas Kemper keeps all four limbs busy full time playing the living crap out of his drums. We have a CD... Swingin' rhythms, winning lyrics, plus lilting melodies equals a wonderful
evening of jazz. Peggy Wendel and Swingnuts play lots of swing from
two centuries. P Kittyhawk is a Seattle-area tavern band that played "southern rock" in the late 70s through about 1980. Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Lynrd Skynrd, and The Amazing Rhythm Aces. This band had a LOT of fun. There is an annual "band reunion" party every August. Seven band members from various incarnations are active: Danny Hass, Bill Gallagher, John Ray, Dan Rengo, Brian Steiner, Roger Bark, and Mark Dodge, plus jammin' pals Larry Ryan from Kidd Afrika and Jeff Getty Freeman from Sparkfarmer. In 2010, the band held the first ever "reunion rehearsal" in February, and the first gig since the 80s in the summer of 2010 at Pete's Pub in Carnation. Maybe again this year? - - - - -
