Here's what we're up to, what we're planning to be up to, what
we're thinking about being up to later, and maybe even some things that will
never happen, but we like to fantasize about anyway ...
-
The Audio Vortex: The big news, internally-speaking, is Big Quack's new
partnership with Camano Island's premier recordists,
The Audio Vortex. We're sharing
energy and resources, and the result is better records! The Steve Harris &
Friends CD was just the first taste of our new collaboration, and the next
releases will be even better! Stay tuned.
-
The South End String Band: We're starting work on
the band's third CD, tentatively titled "Cabin Fever." (2/30/08).
-
One Ton of Ducks: the One Ton of Ducks band is
hogging most of the studio space these days, rehearsing for
live gigs and helping polish original tunes for Mark's upcoming CD (2008).
Heck, we might even manage to release a One Ton of Ducks band CD later this
year.
-
Mark Dodge - Mark's first CD is scheduled to be released in 2008 ...
finally. The
working title is "Brainshadow," and will include a bunch of new original
tunes.

??? - In the realm of fantasy, I've often thought about a
"no commercial potential" CD (not that commercial concerns have been much of a priority
anyway)
where I take one original song and record it in 10 or 12 completely different
styles. Rock, metal, samba, country, light jazz, reggae, klezmer, ... whatever.
This came to mind when I couldn't settle on a style for a couple of my own
songs, and decided that they could probably be produced just about any way you
could think of. Call it adult-onset ADD, or
just plain old indecision ...
