Steve
Harris is a prolific singer-songwriter with decades of playing, performing, and
songwriting experience. His songs range from folk ballads to country-tinged
stories to soft jazz melodies. Mark Dodge is a seasoned professional
multi-instrumentalist, who sings and plays hot electric tenor ukulele, nylon-string
and electric guitar, bass, and keyboards. Mark is also a songwriter who collaborated on most of
the tracks on Steve's CD, Northwestern Sky, as well as the Steve Harris &
Friends CD, Here on Island Time, both released on Big
Quack Records. Wende Hilyard has a pure, sweet voice that provides a
surprisingly pleasing complement to Steve's low growl, and provides the upper
register for some great soaring three-part harmonies. Thomas Kemper is a veteran
drummer and percussionist who did his time as a studio sideman
and
on the road, who now co-owns a recording studio with "utility man" Patrick
Donicht, who besides being an expert mix-master in the studio, plays bass,
percussion, and keyboards. This highly combustible musical conglomeration generates an eclectic
and exciting show of memorable original music.
Steve Harris & Friends can provide up to four hours of quality original entertainment (with a few cover songs), and can provide a complete PA system as well as a professional stage lighting system.
